Our Story
Tucked along the DuPage River, this historic blacksmith shop has stood since 1929—rebuilt in cinder block and mortar after the original wooden structure was lost to fire. The very sand used in its construction was hauled from the river just across the street. While time has taken its toll—leaving the building without electricity or running water—its story is far from over.
This piece of Warrenville’s past now belongs to my brother, who purchased the property with a heart full of memories and hometown pride. We both grew up here, bringing our broken bikes and makeshift go-karts to the blacksmith for welding and repairs. Now, he’s breathing new life into this storied space—restoring it with care and vision to house something truly special: P.S. Flowers Mercantile.
We’re thrilled to share this journey with you as the renovation unfolds. Every brick, beam, and bloom will be part of a labor of love—creating a one-of-a-kind destination for inspired shopping. Once our doors open (just in time for the Fall 2025 Harvest Season), you’ll discover a curated collection of florals, home décor, artwork, fabrics, candles, vintage finds, jewelry, gourmet treats, and more.
Stay tuned as we bring this beautiful space back to life—step by heartfelt step.
